April 2022
President's Message
3/20/2022
The sun is shining, daylight is growing longer and slush is everywhere. Welcome to spring!
The NDPCS board of directors and committee chairs will hold the Spring board meeting on Sunday, April 3, 2022 to prepare for (drumroll please) our Annual convention and meeting. It will take place at the Holiday Inn, Fargo, ND, June 10-12. We are excited to get back to our new normal and greet everyone in person again.
I want to thank Don and RoseAnn Goerger for volunteering to be our convention chairs, and I am sure they would not refuse anyone who wanted to lend a helping hand! They have an exciting agenda planned. The an-nual meeting of membership takes on special significance this year attending to our society’s business after a two-year absence.
Commemoratives have been produced and can actually be picked up in person, thanks to Commemorative Chair Nate Leben. Also, thank you to Richard Berg, Linda Bakken and anyone else who is involved with our member auctions. Special thanks to everyone who has volunteered to make our convention a success.
We have been challenged the past two years as an organization, and the NDPCS board has been discussing our next steps going forward. At the fall board meeting it was decided that our future conventions will be held in Fargo. This will make planning for the convention more efficient and consistent. We can revisit this decision in the future if members can provide locations where meeting space and convention chairs are available.
Remarkably our membership has stayed fairly steady. We also have new members serving on the board and in officer and committee chair positions. Thank you to everyone for your service. We do need to fill the treasurer position ASAP as RoseAnn did not volunteer to serve in infinity!

Please join me in thanking the members of the NDPCS board for their care and concern for everyone during this difficult time. They clearly love this organization and its members and are deeply concerned about its fu-ture. Finally, I need to share a piece of Rosemeade that reminds me of spring and is featured as their logo.
Happy Hunting,Michael Kaul
