Early Rosemeade Glazes and Bottom Marks
Contributed by Bill and Linda Bakken
During the early years of production Rosemeade used some inter-esting glazes. These include crackle, spatter, and drip glazes and other glazes not seen on later pieces. These pieces are bottom marked North Dakota Rosemeade, No. Dak. Rosemeade, N. D. Rosemeade, and Made in WAHPETON, N. D. and bear stickers like the one shown. Some of the marks were incised. The ashtray has a Chakinkapa, No. Dak. mark. Some of this pottery is glazed on the bottom so no mark is visible.
